About the Role

Lift Safe Ltd / ePowerTrucks is looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician to join our growing nationwide team. This field-based role involves servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing electrically powered equipment, including EV trucks, battery-powered handling equipment, lifting products and specialist material handling machinery.

We are particularly interested in speaking with engineers based in the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong electrical and mechanical expertise who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems and delivering outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair a wide range of electric-powered trucks and lifting equipment
  • Carry out advanced fault-finding and diagnostics
  • Complete timely and accurate service reports
  • Follow company procedures, safety standards and service protocols
  • Manage van stock and ensure parts availability
  • Work closely with the technical support team and share knowledge across the organisation
  • Understand customer requirements and provide professional recommendations
  • Conduct LOLER inspections and thorough examinations
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Deliver excellent customer support during field visits

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a field service engineering or technician role
  • Strong electrical bias with solid mechanical engineering knowledge
  • Experience with material handling equipment, lifting products, electric trucks or similar machinery
  • Auto electrical engineering experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of AC and DC motors
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Willingness to stay away from home when required
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Technical certification or recognised in-house training
  • Good communication and English literacy skills

This role would suit an experienced engineer from a busy environment such as the forklift, materials handling or specialist vehicle industry.

You will be organised, self-motivated and able to multitask effectively while maintaining a professional approach at all times. Attention to detail, customer focus and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential.
