We are looking for someone to manage the process flow for parts arriving for production, field service, supply only, the internal material flow and despatch to our customers on time in full. People, processes, and systems need managing to ensure material is received, controlled and distributed to all production areas in an accurate and timely manner. The role is also responsible for the Dispatching, ensuring that goods are packed in accordance with our customers’ requirements and shipped in line with promised delivery dates.
Responsible for the efficient running of a central ordering facility with full traceability and accountability.
Customer Journey – takes an active part in proactively planning and scheduling the journey of the sale from order through to completion, with their peers.
Responsibility for ordering and maintaining strict deadlines on delivery to ensure efficient thru-put of:
- Stock parts;
- Product;
- Consumables/PPE; and
- Corporate clothing.
Supervising and/or personally loading and unloading of trucks and containers using either the FLT, or by following the manual handling protocol.
QA of all goods in, reporting and managing the quality and suitability of goods in. Reporting issues to the suppliers and resolving supply chain issues.
Managing the stock levels in such a manner that ensures the efficient supply of parts both to our workshop and customers. Continuous review of stock levels reporting concerns to the Operations Supervisor.
Liaising with technical support to ensure our customers’ queries are dealt with fully and efficiently.
Managing down the costs relating to incoming goods e.g. limiting the value of extra/over courier transactions related to ordering parts.
Being a key player in the company’s initiative to drive down costs by continually reviewing spending on regular ancillary orders, and sourcing better value deals whenever possible.
Maximise the sales of parts by initiating and using promotions, online media, sales shots etc.
Management of the Protean system to ensure accurate booking of goods.
Ensuring that all relevant data on Protean is up to date and accurate.
Ensure that the stores and despatch areas are tidy and free from hazards and that all work is carried out in a safe and responsible manner at all times, strictly observing all Company and regulatory body Health & Safety procedures including Manual Handling Regulations.
Contribute to the continual improvement process through the suggestion of initiatives and implementation of agreed changes.
Hold regular meetings with the Technical Support/Operations Manager on stock levels.
Continuous review of stock levels reporting concerns to the Operations Manager.
Mentoring and coaching their peers in their own role so as to provide cover for annual leave.
