December 08- E-242HD electric tow tug supplied to move 1100 Litre Eurobins around a prestigious housing development
ePower Trucks was approached in late Summer of 2008 to supply an electrically powered tug to help with an arduous task of moving 1100 Litre Eurobins around a prestigious housing development in north London.
The job involved caretakers manually pushing the bins which presented numerous handling risks to the staff that our customer was anxious to alleviate.
After detailed discussions with all parties and taking on board the concerns of the council waste contractors, we developed a bespoke towing cradle to entrain the Eurobins during transit. This was designed to mate with a ride-on tug unit.
The e-242HD was selected as the best vehicle for the job having excellent capacity and sufficient pulling power to bring the bins up a ramp, out of the basement storage area, and move them to the transfer point.
The approved solution which was shipped on the 22nd December to arrive before Christmas, includes the e-242HD ride-on three wheeled tug and a powder coated, self-supporting Eurobin cradle.
