Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert, Scotland

Forth Valley Royal Hospital opened its doors in summer 2010 and made its first purchase from ePowerTrucks through its onsite facilities management company Serco.
They purchased a complete solution for transporting goods in and around the hospital by way of an electric ride-on tow tractor complete with trailer. This vehicle is 100% electric and allows staff to operate the vehicle in and around the hospital without any noise or fumes.
Also this method of transport is far more cost effective to run versus its diesel / petrol equivalent. Ross Sommerville from ePowerTrucks liaised closely with the staff on site to ensure even the trailer was designed and manufactured to fit in with the customers application / requirements.
In January this year Forth Valley Hospital received delivery of their new electric pedestrian platform truck purchased direct from ePowerTrucks.
This unit again is 100% electric and allows staff to transport small items within the hospital without the need of any manual effort whatsoever. This electric vehicle allows the operator to cover an amazing 16km on a single charge and carry weights of 300kg therefore taking away then need for transporting goods with a manual trolley.
