Wishaw General have recently purchased a new Alke ATX electric utility vehicle for transporting waste around the hospital. The purchase was made through their main on site contractor Serco who have purchased various electric vehicles from ePowerTrucks now for Scotland.
Ian Wallace, the Hard Services Manager for Serco liked the concept that our vehicle was not just a towing vehicle and that it had many other uses within the hospital such as winter maintenance and ground care functions.
The Alke Atx range of compact electric utility vehicles can perform the same type of duties as its nearest diesel equivalent, however none of the comparable sized diesel vehicles have a towing capacity of up to 3 tons, making the Alke ATX attractive to customers that have heavy towing applications on site, such as towing various 1100ltr bins all at the one time.
